Mumbles Pier has an area of rooms given over to exhibiting art.
Called Little Stone Gallery (see Facebook). The show of work by Adrian Hughes is a must-see! On the opening night as a surprise for him a family brought along their father, a farmer from Lampeter. Seeing his portrait was some surprise and turned him into the celebrity visitor of the evening.
This Jack Jones oil on stretcher; a typical work depicting a Welsh valley scene with an always-present coal tip. Serious damage, one example of which is shown spoiled an interesting work. Sucessfully corrected and probably even Jack would be pleased.
Another from Rhys whose works you can see at http://orielodl.com They make a statement in Welsh about songs and poetry. Quite large compared with his regular offerings. This one about 1000x700mm. Black flat 75mm pine.
These bold works in Welsh are provcing very popular and receive many favorable comments about their strong colours and interesting subject matters. If you would like to know a bit more, go to http://shop.orielodl.com/ and use the translate tab if needed.
We see and frame many images of parts of Wales. From one regular contributor however we have these very attactive, bold works in the language of the country.
