Called Little Stone Gallery (see Facebook). The show of work by Adrian Hughes is a must-see! On the opening night as a surprise for him a family brought along their father, a farmer from Lampeter. Seeing his portrait was some surprise and turned him into the celebrity visitor of the evening.
This Jack Jones oil on stretcher; a typical work depicting a Welsh valley scene with an always-present coal tip. Serious damage, one example of which is shown spoiled an interesting work. Sucessfully corrected and probably even Jack would be pleased.
Two photographs that contrast the ‘before and after’ result of a lot of time spent dealing with a customer’s request to try our best to put things right. The problem area is on the black jacket so something of a challenge. The result is about what we aimed for.
Here’s an example of straightforward cleaning and the difference it can make. This is an old oil painting that had been subjected to many sorts of contaminating enemies. The cost to put this right was less than £10.00. The result is more than satisfying for us and the customer.
