Cleanup

Almost in the middle of this very old oil on a stretched canvas you can see a vertical line marking the cleaned and not cleaned areas of the work.  Removing grime and dirt that has accumulated over many decades requires gentle and careful applications of solutions we mix ourselves.

When a picture has been in a household for years it is the owners who are most aware of the change after a cleanup.
